Chris Adkins

Director of Product Security, Materialise CO-AM 

Chris’ role is to develop the security architecture for the Materialise CO-AM Software Platform, making it the most secure end-to-end distributed manufacturing platform. Chris brings 20 years of experience in developing secure architectures to protect assets in embedded systems within supply chains that have high counterfeiting threats.  

The main benefit of 3D printing for me is showing the individualized anatomy because in congenital heart disease, each anatomy is unique. And when we’re talking about operating and doing complex procedures on patients, seeing and feeling that representation on a one-to-one scale really means that we can plan the best procedure, plan the best and most appropriate surgery, and make sure we minimize our errors in judgment.
