Chris Adkins

Director of Product Security Materialise CO-AM

Chris Adkins is the Director of Product Security at Materialise Software. His role is to develop the security architecture for the Materialise CO-AM Software Platform, making it the most secure end-to-end distributed manufacturing platform. Chris brings 20 years of experience in developing secure architectures to protect assets in embedded systems within supply chains that have high counterfeiting threats.

Lara Janse van Vuuren

CO-AM Technical Product Manager, Materialise

Lara is the Product Manager for our Materialise CO-AM platform, focusing on the Advanced Manufacturing Execution and Quality Management Systems. She has an extensive background in the aerospace industry, thanks to her experience at NASA Langley Research Center, where she worked in the Thermal and Structural branch on heat shield technologies. She began her 3D Printing journey at Flex LTD as the lead Production Manager in the MJF manufacturing facility until she joined Link3D, now Materialise, to support the customers and product development initiatives.

Nora Toure

Director of Enterprise Sales CO-AM

Nora serves as the Director of Enterprise Sales at Materialise, where she helps AM users optimize their production workflows and production center’s efficiency. Nora founded the non-profit Women in 3D Printing (Wi3DP) in 2014 to promote women leaders in the additive manufacturing industry, and now serves as Chairwoman of the Board. Pursuing her vision for more social inclusion, Nora joined 3D Africa as a Board Advisor and is active on various advisory boards for the 3D printing industry.

The main benefit of 3D printing for me is showing the individualized anatomy because in congenital heart disease, each anatomy is unique. And when we’re talking about operating and doing complex procedures on patients, seeing and feeling that representation on a one-to-one scale really means that we can plan the best procedure, plan the best and most appropriate surgery, and make sure we minimize our errors in judgment.
