Mimics Innovation course
Interactive Software Workshop: Medical 3D Planning and Design with Materialise Mimics and ACAM Aachen
Join us for a two-day interactive workshop on segmentation and 3D planning with Materialise Mimics on the Aachen University Hospital campus. Our experts will share insights into the diverse applications of the Mimics software, supported by practical exercises and helpful tips and tricks.
Course topics
Introduction to Mimics
Learn the basics of Mimics — from the user interface to medical 3D image processing.
Segmenting bone structures and soft issue
Precisely extract anatomical structures from CT or MRI data.
Compare pre- and postoperative structures
Visualize and quantify surgical outcomes to objectively assess healing processes.
Prepare a model for finite element analysis (FEA)
Create realistic 3D models as a basis for biomechanical simulations and stress analyses.
From CT scan to 3D model for 3D printing or virtual planning
Master the complete workflow, from medical image to printable STL file for patient-specific solutions.
Design patient-specific surgical guides
Design precise, perfectly fitting guides to make surgical procedures safer and more efficient.
