MetalMadrid 2022
October 19 – 20, 2022
Booth 6G17 - IFEMA Feria de Madrid, Spain
MetalMadrid is the leading industrial trade show for companies focusing on manufacturing, machining, and metal processing production. Join Materialise at the two-day event, where you’ll discover how we can be your trusted partner for metal 3D printing.
At booth 6G17, we will illustrate how metal 3D printing allows you to manufacture complex end-use parts directly and facilitates tooling for conventional manufacturing technologies — reducing costs and lead times. And combined with our dedicated 3D printing software, our experts will help you solve any additive manufacturing (AM) challenge, from adoption to increasing scalability.

* Please note: It is not possible to register for MetalMadrid on this page. Please visit the official site to purchase tickets or complete your registration.
Why attend?
- Benefit from our 30+ years of AM experience and discover how we can be your trusted partner for metal 3D printing
- Learn why metal 3D printing is ideal for prototyping, small series manufacturing, design and engineering, and almost any application involving complex metal parts
- See how our industry-leading 3D printing software allows you to meet the highest standards in the most demanding industries. For example, Materialise e-Stage, an optimized support generation software, helps greatly increase your AM productivity for metal parts.
- Meet our 3D printing experts who will help you find the right solution for your business

Alberto Cajiao
Business Development Lead, Materialise Mindware
Alberto grew up in Costa Rica and attained a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Costa Rica. After moving to Belgium, he obtained his master’s degree in business administration (MBA) at Vlerick Business School in 2019. Alberto’s engineering background and passion for project management make him well suited to talk about adopting innovative technologies, such as AM, in business.
The main benefit of 3D printing for me is showing the individualized anatomy because in congenital heart disease, each anatomy is unique. And when we’re talking about operating and doing complex procedures on patients, seeing and feeling that representation on a one-to-one scale really means that we can plan the best procedure, plan the best and most appropriate surgery, and make sure we minimize our errors in judgment.

Mitigating Supply Chain Risks by Adopting Additive Manufacturing — The Implementation Journey
October 20, 2022 | 12:00 – 12:30 pm CET
IFEMA Feria de Madrid | Booth 6G17
AM has proven to be an alternative solution to many of these challenges. However, AM adoption does not happen overnight. It is a complex journey for businesses to discover how to best harness its capabilities. In this presentation, we’ll introduce a methodology that companies can rely on to start, continue, or adapt their AM adoption journey. Finally, a practical case of a metal printing application will be illustrated within the context of this journey.

Mitigating Supply Chain Risks by Adopting Additive Manufacturing
The Implementation Journey
Manufacturers face various risks. They can be major, like changing trends or legislation, or seemingly minor, like employee sick days and unscheduled equipment downtime. All of these can impact a business, but two years ago, one of the biggest risks to manufacturers’ production came unexpectedly. Supply chains were hit hard, and many struggled to get hold of raw materials and components. And every year after that, we faced new events that continued to challenge the economy.
